The Athletic指出，英力士集团尚未决定滕哈赫在曼联的未来，滕哈赫仍在参加关于引援和医疗部门的会议，还打电话确认美国季前赛的酒店和训练场地安排事宜。
曼联俱乐部总监布雷斯福德定期与滕哈赫进行对话，接近俱乐部的一些人士认为，滕哈赫有机会在新的组织架构下继续工作，尽管不敌切尔西的比赛引发了人们对滕哈赫执教表现的关注，但曼联持续不断的伤病问题被内部视为真正的影响因素之一。
